Παράταση μέχρι τα Χριστούγεννα στη λειτουργία των λουτροπηγών της Λέσβου από το Υπουργείο Τουρισμού, διεκδίκησε και πήρε ο δήμος και μέχρι τότε ευελπιστεί ότι θα έχουν ολοκληρωθεί οι ενέργειες που απαιτούνται για να αναγνωριστούν ως φυσικός πόρος και να πάρουν την πιστοποίηση από το Υπουργείο.
Αυτό ανακοινώθηκε στην πρώτη συνεδρίαση του νέου ΔΣ της ΑΔΕΛ που πραγματοποιήθηκε χθες, μετά την τρίμηνη «θυελλώδη» ακυβερνησία.
Όπως είπε μιλώντας στην ΕΡΤ Αιγαίου ο αντιπρόεδρος της ΑΔΕΛ Γιάννης Τσακίρης, δύο είναι τα στάδια που πρέπει να ολοκληρωθούν. Το πρώτο έχει να κάνει με την αναγνώρισή τους ως φυσικό πόρο και την κατοχύρωσή τους στην ιδιοκτησία του δήμου , και το δεύτερο με τη συμμόρφωση στις προϋποθέσεις που θέτει το ΦΕΚ για τη λειτουργία τους.
Αυτή τη στιγμή σε λειτουργία είναι τρεις από τις πέντε λουτροπηγές στο νησί στον Πολιχνίτο, στην Εφταλού και στα Θέρμα.
Στον Πολιχνίτο ωστόσο αποφασισμένος να βάλει λουκέτο στις 21 Οκτώβρη είναι ο ιδιώτης που είχε αναλάβει Αντώνης Τσελεπιδάκης, αφού όπως είπε στην ΕΡΤ Αιγαίου «οι πηγές στον Πολιχνίτο δεν πρόκειται να ξαναλειτουργήσουν όποια διαδικασία και να ακολουθήσει τώρα πια ο δήμος. Η διαδικασία για το ξεκαθάρισμα του ιδιοκτησιακού καθεστώτος δεν είναι καθόλου απλή υπόθεση ενώ ούτε για την αναγνώριση ως φυσικό πόρο έχουν γίνει οι ενέργειες που απαιτούνται.» Τραγική εξέλιξη ότι τα χρήματα που προόριζε να διαθέσει ο κύριος Τσελεπιδάκης για πηγές του νησιού (Πολιχνίτου και Λισβορίου) , θα τα επενδύσει τελικά σε άλλο νησί.
Καλύτερη είναι η κατάσταση για τις πηγές της Εφταλούς και των Θέρμων που απ ότι φαίνεται θα είναι και οι μόνες που θα λειτουργήσουν στο νησί, σε ένα νησί με πέντε ιαματικές πηγές που θα μπορούσαν να αξιοποιηθούν για ένα διαφορετικό μοντέλο ανάπτυξης της Λέσβου.
