Επιστολή Μεϊκόπουλου προς Συντονιστή Αποκεντρωμένης για την παραπομπή Αποστολάκη-Διαμαντένια

Την στήριξή του προς τους Δημοτικούς Συμβούλους, Ιάσονα Αποστολάκη και Θεολόγη Διαμαντένια για την παραπομπή τους στο Πειθαρχικό Συμβούλιο Θεσσαλίας, με αφορμή την απουσία τους από τις συνεδριάσεις του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου κατά το 2018, εξέφρασε μέσω Επιστολής του προς το Συντονιστή Αποκεντρωμένης Διοίκησης Θεσσαλίας και Στερεάς Ελλάδας, ο Βουλευτής Μαγνησίας του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ-ΠΣ, Αλέξανδρος Μεϊκόπουλος.

Ο Βουλευτής επεσήμανε, ότι ο Δήμος Βόλου παρουσιάζει μία πανελλαδική αρνητική «πρωτοτυπία» στον τρόπο με τον οποίο διενεργούνται τα Δημοτικά Συμβούλια και για τον οποίο διαμαρτύρονται διαρκώς σύσσωμες οι δυνάμεις της αντιπολίτευσης τοπικά. Ωστόσο, μέχρι σήμερα τέτοια φαινόμενα μη αποδεκτών συμπεριφορών δεν έχουν στηλιτευθεί αναλόγως θεσμικά.

Στον αντίποδα, οι δημοτικοί σύμβουλοι διώκονται πειθαρχικά για την αντίδρασή τους μέσω της αποχής από τις συνεδριάσεις, ακριβώς σε συστηματικά προσβλητικές και αντιδημοκρατικές συμπεριφορές, δημιουργώντας συνθήκες δυσανάλογης μεταχείρισης, ικανές να πλήξουν το κοινό περί δικαίου αίσθημα.

«Μέσα στο πλαίσιο των διαδικασιών στα δημοτικά συμβούλια, η συμπεριφορά θα πρέπει να κρίνεται με βάση τον τρόπο με τον οποίο ο κάθε αιρετός διεξάγει την πολιτική αντιπαράθεση», τόνισε χαρακτηριστικά ο Αλ. Μεϊκόπουλος και ανέφερε ότι οι αιρετοί εκπρόσωποι οφείλουν να αναδεικνύουν και να πράττουν όχι μόνο το νόμιμο, αλλά και το δίκαιο και το ηθικό. Διαφορετικές συμπεριφορές απαξιώνουν τις αξίες και το κοινωνικό ήθος και κλονίζουν την ίδια την εμπιστοσύνη της κοινωνίας στα θεσμικά όργανα.
