Πολύ καλύτερη εικόνα παρουσιάζει η πυρκαγιά που ξέσπασε χθες σε αγροτοδασική έκταση στη Μάνδρα Αττικής. Σύμφωνα με την Πυροσβεστική η κατάσταση έχει βελτιωθεί σημαντικά, ενώ υπάρχουν διάσπαρτες μικροεστίες εντός της καμμένης έκτασης, οι οποίες όμως δεν εμπνέουν κάποια ανησυχία. Στο σημείο παραμένουν ισχυρές δυνάμεις της Πυροσβεστικής που επιχειρούν.

Η πυρκαγιά εκδηλώθηκε χθες στις 17:05 ανατολικά της επαρχιακής οδού Αθηνών – Θηβών και για την κατάσβεσή της κινητοποιήθηκαν άμεσα 50 πυροσβέστες με 2 ομάδες πεζοπόρων τμημάτων, 22 οχήματα, 5 αεροσκάφη, 3 ελικόπτερα. Λίγο αργότερα, στις 18:02, στάλθηκε μήνυμα μέσω του 112 στους κατοίκους των οικισμών Νέος Πόντος και Νέα Ζωή, που τους ζητούσε να εκκενώσουν προληπτικά την περιοχή και να κατευθυνθούν προς τη Μάνδρα.

Ακόμη, η πυρκαγιά που ξέσπασε χθες στις 15:27 σε δασική έκταση στο Χαϊδάρι στην τοποθεσία Μικρό Σχιστό, έχει οριοθετηθεί. Για την κατάσβεσή της κινητοποιήθηκαν 70 πυροσβέστες , 2 ομάδες πεζοπόρων τμημάτων, 23 οχήματα, 2 αεροσκάφη, 2 ελικόπτερα, ενώ συνδράμουν εθελοντές και υδροφόρες των ΟΤΑ.
