Ζητούν κατάσταση έκτακτης ανάγκης για το Βελβεντό, λόγω έντονων βροχοπτώσεων

Σε κατάσταση εκτάκτου ανάγκης θα ζητήσει να κηρυχθεί ο Δήμος Βελβεντού εξαιτίας της χθεσινής κακοκαιρίας που έπληξε για 5η συνεχόμενη φορά την περιοχή.

Όπως δηλώνει ο Δήμαρχος Μανώλης Στεργίου ήταν μεγάλη η ένταση της βροχόπτωσης και η ποσότητα του νερού που ξεπέρασε τους 80 τόνους ανά στρέμμα με σποτέλεσμα να καταστραφούν και πάλι αγροτικοί δρόμοι. Προβλήματα αντιμετωπίζουν και στο αποχετευτικό σύστημα, όπου γέμισε με φερτά υλικά με απιτέκεσμα να μην λειτουργεί ο βιολογικός καθαρισμός. Προβλήματα φαίνεται να αντιμετωπίζουν και οι αγρότες στο κάμπο του Βελβεντού με τις δεντροκαλλιέργειες. Επιπρόσθετα, έχουν αναφερθεί προβλήματα σε υπόγεια δίκτυα και ύδρευση.

“Μετά την παγωνιά, τις χαλαζοπτώσεις και τις τεράστιες ποσότητες που έπεσαν το τελευταίο διάστημα δεν μπορεί πλεον να απορροφηθεί από το χώμα και η ζημιά στα καλοκαιρινά φρούτα είναι βέβαιη”, οπως σημειώνει ο Πρόεδρος του Αγροτικού Συλλόγου Βελβεντού Βασίλης Τζιουράς, ο οποίος οδεύει με τον Πρόεδρο του Συνεταιρισμού ΑΣΕΠΟΠ Νίκο Κουτλιάμπα, προς Αθήνα όπου θα επιδιώξουν συνάντηση με τον Πρόεδρο του ΕΛΓΑ
