Η Καμίλα με αφορμή τα 75α γενέθλιά της αποκάλυψε σε μια συνέντευξη της, στο Country Life, το μυστικό του πρίγκιπα Κάρολου που τον κρατά ακμαίο στα 73 του χρόνια.

Τον χαρακτήρισε «γνήσιο επαρχιώτη». Είτε «φτιάχνει φράχτες υπό καταρρακτώδη βροχή, είτε περπατάει, είτε σκαρφαλώνει σε απίστευτα απότομους λόφους των Χάιλαντς, είτε φυτεύει δέντρα ή κλαδεύει, εκεί βρίσκει την αληθινή ηρεμία και γαλήνη».

Το περίφημο “Highgrove House” στο Γκλόσεστερ είναι ένα «καταφύγιο» που θα επισκεφτεί για να χαλαρώσει φροντίζοντας τους υπέροχους κήπους του με τις αγριοτριανταφυλλιές, που ο ίδιος φύτεψε και είναι σημείο αναφοράς για κάθε επίδοξο κηπουρό, – θεωρούνται από τους ομορφότερους του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου.

Αφήνει τους πάντες χιλιόμετρα πίσω του», είπε η Καμίλα δικαιολογώντας την καλή του υγεία στην αγάπη του για τη φύση.
