Ανησυχία για τη δημόσια υγεία λόγω των σκουπιδιών στην Κέρκυρα (video)

Η Κέρκυρα τον τελευταίο καιρό αντιμετωπίζει σοβαρό πρόβλημα με τα σκουπίδια τα οποία είναι συσσωρευμένα και διάσπαρτα σε όλο το νησί. Σε κάποιες περιπτώσεις βουνά απορριμμάτων βρίσκονται δίπλα σε σχολεία. Λόγω της κατάστασης έχουν καταγραφεί καταγγελίες για κρούσματα σταφυλόκοκκου και πιο συγκεκριμένα στο σχολείο της Κασσιώπης στο οποίο τα σκουπίδια βρίσκονται μπροστά από την αυλή του. Έντονη είναι η ανησυχία τόσο των γονέων όσο και των εκπαιδευτικών.

Όπως ανέφερε ο Πρόεδρος της Ένωσης Συλλόγων Γονέων και Κηδεμόνων, Σπύρος Κασσίμης μιλώντας στην εκπομπή της ΕΡΤ, «Πρώτη Είδηση», «Το πρόβλημα υπάρχει σε 40 και πλέον σχολεία. Μύγες, κουνούπια, ψύλλοι, σφήκες και ότι μπορείτε να φανταστείτε. Τα παιδιά παραπονιούνται και δεν θέλουν να βγουν στο προαύλιο, δεν θέλουν να κάνουν γυμναστική. Δεν μπορούν να ανοίξουν τα παράθυρα» κάνοντας λόγο για υγειονομική βόμβα.

Από την πλευρά της η Πρόεδρος του Ιατρικού Συλλόγου Κέρκυρας, Μαρία Γονίδη υπογράμμισε πως «Το πρόβλημα τους τελευταίους μήνες είναι ανυπόφορο έως επικίνδυνο. Ένα ολόκληρο νησί βουτηγμένο κυριολεκτικά μέσα στα σκουπίδια. Ανάλογα με τις καιρικές συνθήκες δημιουργείται μία εν δυνάμει υγειονομική βόμβα γιατί αναπτύσσονται μικροοργανισμοί, αναπτύσσονται έντομα που μεταφέρουν μικρόβια, τρωκτικά. Η δημόσια υγεία στην Κέρκυρα πλέον κινδυνεύει και κινδυνεύει σοβαρά: από εντερολοιμώξεις, από σαλμονέλα και από το καλοκαίρι και μετά υπάρχουν πολλές αναφορές για σταφυλόκοκκο».
