Την Πρωτοχρονιά (Τρίτη 1η Ιανουαρίου 2019) και ώρα 12:15, πιστή στο εορταστικό ραντεβού της, η ΕΡΤ μέσα από τις συχνότητες της ΕΡΤ1, της ΕΡΤHD, του Τρίτου Προγράμματος και το Web TV μεταδίδει την καθιερωμένη Πρωτοχρονιάτικη Συναυλία της Φιλαρμονικής Ορχήστρας της Βιέννης (New Year’s Concert 2019), σε απευθείας δορυφορική σύνδεση με την Αίθουσα Musikverein.

Ειδικότερα, οι τηλεθεατές της ΕΡΤ1 και της ΕΡΤHD, καθώς και οι ακροατές του Τρίτου Προγράμματος έχουν την ευκαιρία να απολαύσουν το μοναδικό αυτό εορταστικό μουσικό πρόγραμμα, που μεταδίδεται σε 100 χώρες σε όλο τον κόσμο και την παρακολουθούν περισσότεροι από 95 εκατομμύρια τηλεθεατές.

Στη «Χρυσοποίκιλτη αίθουσα» του Μεγάρου των Φίλων της Μουσικής στην αυστριακή πρωτεύουσα, η Φιλαρμονική Ορχήστρα της Βιέννης υπό τη διεύθυνση του Γερμανού μαέστρου Christian Thielemann, θα ερμηνεύσει γνωστά και αγαπημένα έργα των συνθετών: Carl Michael Ziehrer, Josef Strauss, Josef Hellmesberger Jr., Johann Strauss Jr. και Eduard Strauss.
