«Welcome» στην ΕΡΤ2

Το πολυβραβευμένο δράμα, παραγωγής Γαλλίας 2009, «Welcome», σε σκηνοθεσία Φιλίπ Λιορέ, προβάλλει η ΕΡΤ2, την Τετάρτη 4 Νοεμβρίου, στις 11 το βράδυ.

Υπόθεση: Είκοσι δύο μίλια νερού (η απόσταση ανάμεσα στο Καλέ και το Ντόβερ) στέκονται τελευταίο εμπόδιο για να ξανασυναντηθούν ο Μπιλάλ (Φιράτ Αϊβερδί) με την αγαπημένη του Μίνα (Ντέρια Αϊβερδί). Ο Μπιλάλ έφυγε από το Ιράκ και ύστερα από μια πορεία 4.000 χιλιομέτρων, περνώντας από τη Μέση Ανατολή και την Ευρώπη, βρίσκεται στη γαλλική πόλη Καλέ. Στην προσπάθειά του να εισέλθει λαθραία στην Αγγλία, όπου ονειρεύεται να γίνει διάσημος ποδοσφαιριστής, το ταξίδι του τερματίζεται απότομα, καθώς οι Αρχές τον εντοπίζουν και τον θέτουν υπό επιτήρηση.

Βλέποντας τις βρετανικές ακτές τόσο κοντά, αποφασίζει να διασχίσει τη θάλασσα κολυμπώντας, αψηφώντας τους κινδύνους ενός τέτοιου εγχειρήματος. Γνωρίζει και γίνεται φίλος με τον Σιμόν, έναν πρώην πρωταθλητή κολύμβησης, ο οποίος δουλεύει ως προπονητής στο τοπικό κολυμβητήριο. Όταν o Μπιλάλ του εκμυστηρεύεται τον λόγο που θέλει να βρεθεί στην Αγγλία, ο Σιμόν συγκινείται από τον έρωτα του νεαρού και την αποφασιστικότητά του. Αποφασίζει να τον βοηθήσει και τον προπονεί για να διασχίσει το κανάλι…
