Δήμος Θεσσαλονίκης: «Το REACT πάει σχολείο»

Με αφορμή την έναρξη της σχολικής χρονιάς, ο Δήμος Θεσσαλονίκης και το πρόγραμμα REACT, το οποίο υλοποιείται από 2016 έως 2020 με την υποστήριξη της Ύπατης Αρμοστείας και από Σεπτέμβριο του 2020  υπό την ευθύνη του Υπουργείου Μετανάστευσης και Ασύλου και με χρηματοδότηση της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, με ιδία μέσα, ή μέσω φορέων υλοποίησης,  διοργανώνει για τρίτη χρονιά την εκδήλωση με τίτλο «Το REACT πάει σχολείο». Η εκδήλωση θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Παρασκευή, 2 Σεπτεμβρίου 2022 και ώρα 11:00 στους Κήπους του Πασά.

Σκοπός της εκδήλωσης είναι η ευαισθητοποίηση των προσφύγων σχετικά με την υποχρεωτική εκπαίδευση στην Ελλάδα. Στην εκδήλωση οι μικροί μας φίλοι, θα έχουν τη δυνατότητα να συμμετέχουν σε διάφορες εκπαιδευτικές δράσεις και να λάβουν σχολικά είδηΤονίζεται ότι το πρόγραμμα REACT αποτελεί μέρος του προγράμματος Στήριξης Έκτακτης Ανάγκης για την Ένταξη και τη Στέγαση – ESTIA και στο οποίο συμμετέχει ο Δήμος Θεσσαλονίκης ως επικεφαλής του εταιρικού σχήματος, με εταίρους τον Δήμο Νεάπολης-Συκεών, τον Δήμο Καλαμαριάς, την Ανατολική Α.Ε,  και το Καταφύγιο Αιτούντων Άσυλο “Φιλοξενείο” υπό τον Δήμο Θεσσαλονίκης και την ΜΚΟ ΑΡΣΙΣ (Κοινωνική Οργάνωση Υποστήριξης Νέων).

Μέχρι σήμερα έχουν φιλοξενηθεί 2.929 άτομα από ευάλωτες κοινωνικές ομάδες, σε διαμερίσματα των Δήμων Θεσσαλονίκης, Νεάπολης-Συκεών, Καλαμαριάς, Θέρμης και στο Φιλοξενείο Οικογενειών Αιτούντων Άσυλο, από τα οποία τα 1.332 είναι παιδιά. Τη νέα σχολική χρονιά θα φοιτήσουν συνολικά 101 παιδιά στις διάφορες σχολικές βαθμίδες και πιο συγκεκριμένα 12 στα προνήπια-νήπια, 75 στο δημοτικό, 14 παιδιά στο γυμνάσιο και στο λύκειο/ΕΠΑΛ.
