Ο δήμος Ωραιοκάστρου δίνοντας έμφαση στο αγαθό της παιδείας και στο αναφαίρετο δικαίωμα, που έχει ο κάθε δημότης στη μόρφωση διοργανώνει για δεύτερη συνεχή χρονιά σε συνεργασία με τον Σύλλογο Επιστημόνων Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας «Αριστοτέλης»τον επιτυχημένο θεσμό του λαϊκού πανεπιστημίου.
Οι δημότες μας αλλά και οι κάτοικοι του διευρυμένου δήμου Ωραιοκάστρου μέσα από τη λειτουργία του λαϊκού πανεπιστημίου θα έχουν τη δυνατότητα επιμόρφωσης σε ενδιαφέρουσες θεματικές ενότητες.
Τα μαθήματα θα ξεκινήσουν στις 25 Οκτωβρίου 2016 και θα πραγματοποιούνται μία φορά τον μήνα για ένα τρίωρο (από τις 6 το απόγευμα έως τις 9 το βράδυ) στο κτίριο «Παύλος Μελάς» στο Παλαιόκαστρο. Η είσοδος είναι δωρεάν για όλους τους δημότες, στους οποίους με την ολοκλήρωση των εξαμήνων θα τους χορηγηθεί πιστοποιητικό παρακολούθησης.
Ο πρώτος θεματικός κύκλος για τη διδακτική περίοδο 2016 -2017 αφορά τους τομείς δημοσιογραφίας και ψυχολογίας με εισηγητές διακεκριμένους πανεπιστημιακούς καθηγητές, γνωστούς δημοσιογράφους της πόλης καθώς και άλλους ομιλητές καταξιωμένους ο καθένας στον τομέα του. Θέμα της πρώτης εισήγησης είναι «ΜΜΕ και τρόποι επικοινωνίας με τους πολίτες».
Οι αιτήσεις συμμετοχής θα υποβάλλονται κατά την ημέρα έναρξης του λαϊκού πανεπιστημίου στο κτίριο «Παύλος Μελάς».
