Περισσότερα από 200 δέντρα και φυτά φύτευσαν μαθητές του Δήμου Ωραιοκάστρου

Με επιτυχία πραγματοποιήθηκε η χθεσινή εθελοντική δενδροφύτευση που διοργάνωσαν από κοινού η αντιδημαρχία Πρασίνου και το Τοπικό Συμβούλιο Ωραιοκάστρου με στόχο την περιβαλλοντική και αισθητική αναβάθμιση της πόλης. Δυναμικό παρών έδωσαν μαθητές του 1ου και του 2ου δημοτικού σχολείου Παλαιοκάστρου και του 3ου γυμνασίου Ωραιοκάστρου, οι οποίοι φύτευσαν περισσότερα από 200 δένδρα και φυτά στην περιοχή του Παλαιοκάστρου.

Παρόντες στη δενδροφύτευση ήταν ο αντιδήμαρχος Πρασίνου Κυριάκος Ιωσηφίδης, ο πρόεδρος της ΔΗΚΕΩ Ηλίας Ζιακούλης, ο πρόεδρος του Τοπικού Συμβουλίου Ωραιοκάστρου Μιχάλης Κουφουνάκης και οι τοπικοί σύμβουλοι Βάσω Λύσσα και Στέλλα Ίννου. Σημαντική ήταν και η βοήθεια τόσο του προέδρου του Περιβαλλοντικού Συλλόγου, Ιωάννη Τσακίρη, όσο και του γυμνασιάρχη του 3ου γυμνασίου, Νίκο Νταμπαλή καθώς και των συλλόγων γονέων και κηδεμόνων των παραπάνω σχολείων.

«Θα πρέπει όλοι να καταλάβουμε ότι είναι ανάγκη να αναπτυχθεί το αστικό πράσινο. Η πόλη μας έχει ανάγκη περισσότερο από κάθε άλλη φορά από τέτοιες κινήσεις εθελοντισμού και κοινωνικής προσφοράς. Μέσα από τέτοιες δράσεις θέλουμε να ενισχύσουμε την πεποίθηση των νέων ότι η πόλη είναι ο καθένας μας και μπορούμε να την κάνουμε καλύτερη», τόνισε μεταξύ άλλων ο δήμαρχος Ωραιοκάστρου Αστέριος Γαβότσης.
