Με αφορμή την έναρξη της 6ης Παγκόσμιας Εβδομάδας των Ηνωμένων Εθνών για την οδική ασφάλεια, οι μαθητές του Δημοτικού Ωδείου Αλεξανδρούπολης έδωσαν το πιο όμορφο μουσικό μήνυμα για τους δρόμους ζωής: 30km/h όριο στις κατοικημένες περιοχές.

Η Παγκόσμια Εβδομάδα Οδικής Ασφάλειας εγκαινιάστηκε από τον ΟΗΕ, για πρώτη φορά, το 2007. Το 2013 εξαγγέλθηκε η 2η Παγκόσμια Εβδομάδα Οδικής Ασφάλειας και έκτοτε επαναλαμβάνεται κάθε 2 χρόνια, με συγκεκριμένη κεντρική θεματολογία κάθε φορά.

Η φετινή εβδομάδα οδικής ασφάλειας επικεντρώνεται στη διαχείριση της ταχύτητας, ιδίως σε ζώνες με ταχύτητα 30 χλμ/ώρα σε πόλεις και άλλες περιοχές, όπου οι πεζοί και οι ποδηλάτες συνδυάζονται με την κυκλοφορία, ως κλειδί για ένα ασφαλές σύστημα μεταφορών, που προστατεύει όλους όσους χρησιμοποιούν τους δρόμους, αποτρέπει τους θανάτους και τους τραυματισμούς από την οδική κυκλοφορία και διευκολύνει την επίτευξη πολλών από τους στόχους της αειφόρου ανάπτυξης.
