Κομισιόν – SURE: Επιπλέον 2,5 δισ. ευρώ στην Ελλάδα για προστασία θέσεων εργασίας και εισοδημάτων

Η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή πρότεινε στο Συμβούλιο να χορηγήσει πρόσθετη χρηματοδοτική συνδρομή ύψους 3,7 δισ. ευρώ σε έξι κράτη μέλη στο πλαίσιο του SURE, του μέσου των 100 δισ. ευρώ, το οποίο σχεδιάστηκε για την προστασία των θέσεων εργασίας και των εισοδημάτων που επλήγησαν από την πανδημία COVID-19.

Οι προτάσεις ακολουθούν επίσημα αιτήματα για πρόσθετη χρηματοδοτική συνδρομή στο πλαίσιο του SURE, τα οποία υποβλήθηκαν από το Βέλγιο, την Κύπρο, την Ελλάδα, τη Λετονία, τη Λιθουανία και τη Μάλτα, επιπλέον της στήριξης που έχει ήδη εγκρίνει το Συμβούλιο.

Μετά την αξιολόγηση των αιτημάτων που υπέβαλαν τα έξι κράτη μέλη, η Επιτροπή προτείνει στο Συμβούλιο να εγκρίνει την πρόσθετη χρηματοδοτική συνδρομή 394 εκατ. ευρώ στο Βέλγιο, 125 εκατ. ευρώ στην Κύπρο, 2,5 δισ. ευρώ στην Ελλάδα, 113 εκατ. ευρώ στη Λετονία, 355 εκατ. ευρώ στη Λιθουανία και 177 εκατ. ευρώ στη Μάλτα. Με τον τρόπο αυτό, το σύνολο της προτεινόμενης από την Επιτροπή, στο πλαίσιο του SURE, χρηματοδοτικής συνδρομής ανέρχεται σε 94,3 δισ. ευρώ για 19 κράτη.
