Με την ενέργεια του ήλιου η «Ήρα» προσέγγισε τον πλανήτη Δία (video)

Το “ραντεβού της ‘Ηρας με τον Δία” αποτελεί γεγονός από τις 6 το πρωί ώρα Ελλάδας, όταν το σκάφος Juno (Ήρα) της αμερικανικής NASA, έφθασε ύστερα από πέντε χρόνια ταξιδιού στον προορισμό του και συνελήφθη σε μαγνητικό πεδίο 20.000 φορές ισχυρότερο από της Γης.

Το μη επανδρωμένο διαστημικό σκάφος που φέρει το όνομα της Θεάς ‘Ηρας, τέθηκε σε τροχιά γύρω από τον γίγαντα του Ηλιακού Συστήματος, για να “κατασκοπεύσει όπως στην ελληνική Μυθολογία το αντικείμενο του πόθου της”, δήλωσαν χαρακτηριστικά Αμερικανοί ερευνητές.

Η αποστολή των 1, 1 δισ. δολαρίων θα πλησιάσει τα “αδιαπέραστα” σύννεφα του πλανήτη σε απόσταση μικρότερη από 5.000 χιλιόμετρα, ενώ το Juno θα εκτεθεί σε “αδιανόητες” δόσεις ακτινοβολίας από το επικίνδυνο πεδίο του Δία όπου στροβιλίζονται φορτισμένα σωματίδια σχεδόν με την ταχύτητα του φωτός.

Εάν τα προστατευμένα από τιτάνιο εξαρτήματα, αντέξουν τους επόμενους 18 μήνες, τότε η Ήρα, θα “χαρτογραφήσει εκατομμύρια χιλιόμετρα ανεξερεύνητου διαστήματος”, προτού “αυτοκτονήσει”, καθώς έχει προγραμματιστεί για αυτοκαταστροφή το 2018.

Ο ενθουσιασμός είναι διάχυτος και στο βίντεο που έδωσε στη δημοσιότητα η ΝΑSA, διευκρινίζοντας ότι εάν η ” Ήρα”, δεν είχε αιχμαλωτιστεί στη “βαρυτική δίνη” του μεγαλύτερου και πιο γρήγορου σε περιστροφή πλανήτη, θα είχε χαθεί για πάντα στο διάστημα.
